Some other random photos from Sydney triathlon

Postby Christine Tham » Sun Apr 10, 2011 3:13 pm

These are of the non-elite competitors - I didn't stay for the elite events since I was tired and wanted to get out of the city before the rain came.

I was surprised that a lot of the competitors stared at me as I took photos - maybe they were intrigued by my Hello Kitty camera and pink camera bag - I even overheard someone shouting G'day and something about hoping the photos come out well and have a nice day (personally if I was in the event I wouldn't waste my precious oxygen on a random civilian photographer!)

Another set of great pics CT. Surprising the number of competitors that don't have bolt on aero bars on their bikes. You would think this would be one of the first things a triathlete would buy.

LOL

It was just a Specialised stand in Hyde Park - apparently one can go on a test ride on any bike in their range.

I was very keen except ...
- I had no helmet
- I didn't bring my drivers licence
- no shoes (I was wearing sandals)
- plus I was wearing a summer dress
