Sunday 3rd Feb.
1 pm.
Carpark at the mouth of the Torrens (northern side, not the Henly Yacht Club which is the southern side).

We can either head up the Linear Park for a casual ride or head to Outer Harbour for a faster run, or split into two after meeting and telling the usual lies.

OR,

if you want to do it this Monday, it being a public holiday. I'll have the kids so would be looking at the casual run up the Torrens (hmm, the first ride of the rejuvinated Black Beast and she'll be towing the tag-along  )

Any of my bikes are available for quick test rides ... except the bent. I had to ride all over again, literally (starting with learning how to paddle along with my feet  ) so unless you're an experienced bent rider, a useful 'test ride' just isn't going to happen. Sitting on the thing and sticking your feet up in the stratosphere as you try the reach the pedals works though :D

I'm up for it. On the MTB if I don't get the roadie fixed by then, or if it looks like we'll do the bike path. If the roadie is fixed I'd be up for a ride to Outer Harbour (lets hope the wind isn't to fierce).

I'm thinking we could do one of my regular triangles.

Beach front to Glenelg, up the City West bike path (the old railway reserve), Bonython Park to the Torrens, back down the Torrens. About 30km from memory.

Aiming for something anyone can do without being so short it'll freak out the fit gits (who can ride to the start point anyway ). For reference, I usually do this on the fixed gear so it's not a fierce ride by any means.

Sounds good. MTB with slicks seems the way to go.

Sounds great Richard.
Exactly the sort of ride i was thinking about. Just a casual cruise.

hmmm, I'll check the events calendar, might be able to make it. Richard, do you mean the carpark just after the bridge (if you're heading in from Glenelg)?

That's the one mate

You should be right on the beach front, under some old pines with a stone dunny and the Torrens mouth between you and Glenelg.

Sorry, can't make it... have a BBQ lunch with friends who will regale us of their exploits on the Alpine Classic ride last weekend. Have fun, all.

I'd be interested if the gf hasn't organised something for Sunday. I have 10pin bowling at 5.30 but I'm guessing they'll be heaps of time. I wont be riding down there as I'm at Magill so that's an extra 40k I'll have to put in getting there and back. I don't think I'm ready for that yet :P

Won't be able to make it, on call outs (work).

For the next week my riding consists of the indoor trainer or laps around the estate. :(

Hi.

I would like to come along on this ride, but I don't know the area too well.
Could someone please post a map here, or even a street address that I could look up in my directory?
(I mean to the carpark that you are going to meet at)

Thanks, and I will see you there.
