I've just done a 18km time trial event last weekend in Canberra.
It was 18km with some undulating terrains, nothing dramatic at all.
my Garmin can be accessed from here: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/80868370
Averaged 35km/h over the course, which is a lot faster than I wished to achieve (~32km/h).
I like to go faster, and to sustain the effort for longer periods.
Not looking at upgrading bike (I rode it in my RB), or adding clip-on aero-bars, etc.
How should I train myself to get better?
Should I do 2x20min TT effort for training, more hills, or should I focus more on going with bunch rides that are much faster than my pace? (ie, groups travelling at 36~38km/h)
Thanks heaps.

Gotta love the Garmin Connect!
Nice ride. 30mins flat was quite impressive. We do at work on our lunch breaks 18kms which on my old Steel Wheeler 1100 clunker have got it down to 39mins. Have adjusted everything tonight so hopefully weather permitting might get around a little quicker tomorrow.
Looks also like your in for a cold winter. 11degree min.. ouch.

Done my second ITT today. 40km of more or less flat terrain (only 320m of elevation gain),
However, headwind and cross wind that made me suffer.
I believe I could go a tad bit harder but just can't find the leg when tackling the false flat with headwind blowing in your face.
Here's the Garmin: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/85421764
Lesson learnt: riding 35km just to the ITT start line doesn't do me any good.

You did a very quick first lap! I think I only did about a 33 something.

Nah. Garmin didn't kick in until the 2nd KM. There's no way I am matching your 33m per lap, Ross.Ross wrote:You did a very quick first lap! I think I only did about a 33 something.
I probably do 35min/lap or there about.
