Hey,

that's really cool to see. It really seems to be the best place for them. Have to get some more stickers out there.

Cheers
Christopher

On the topic of stickers...
Many road bikes are way too 'fine' to put stickers onto. I have to agree that on a $5,000 plus Pinarello I would be hesitant as well.

How about this, sticker on the water bottle or bike pump. The stickers do scratch a bit easily so on the water bottle after the 3rd wash they would probably become a bit ugly.

The stickers are pretty good so even if you put them on your pride and joy they come offpretty easy. As Christopher sent me 20 instead of 6 I had some room for error, removed one or two and both came off cleanly.

Only a postage fee... I cover the cost of the stickers themself so we are going 50:50. Sending a stamp self address envelope wont break the bank though, and a number of people have already done this.

Alternatively I will do you a deal... I can send stickers free (I cover postage) on the condition that your place a bunch of stickers in your local bike shop. Interested? Email me.

For bike shops they should be aware that bicycles.net.au is not a competitor to them but rather can actually help drive new customers to their shop as we have the best and most up-to-date cycling directory for Australia.

A suggestion from way out near the boundary line ...

go to a public place, like the library. Go into the loo (the one appropriate to your gender of course). Place two stickers ... one behind the door and one under the toilet seat. The one behind the door will be seen, the one under the dunny seat will be remembered. Believe

Richard, if I get into trouble then I will claim psychological instability and blame it all on you.

An old thread is as good as place as any to make my very first post. :D

I am a new member with a shiny new Giant Boulder (yup, it's a fast one), and would love to adorn my new machine, and first bike that I've owned in over 20 years, with one of these flash stickers.

If I ask nicely, are they still available?

Of course... there are still stickers.

The details how you can get some are here:
http://www.bicycles.net.au/stickers/index.html

For normal requests it involved a stamped self-addressed envelope being sent and in the post you will receive the sticker shortly thereafter.

Or... if you have a big club or want to do a big drop off of stickers in your local bike shop, send me an email or PM me with your postal address (incl name), a few short words how many stickers you would like and what for (eg bike shop, club) and I will get back.

Thanks for the quick reply Christopher.

I'm calling past the LBS tomorrow morning, so will check with them and then get something in the mail next week.

Out of interest, where is the line drawn between 'normal requests' and 'un-normal requests' :?:  :?:

If your pretty confident that you can get a lot of stickers into your LBS... then I will cover the costs of postage.

(sure it's only about $1 for two stamps when you do the stamped self-addressed envelope... but for that little extra effort anyone takes to get stickers out there, you save on postage)

Cheers

The delivery truck arrived this afternoon and unloaded all the stickers. I'm pretty sure there is enough for me and a few mates as well as 1 or 3 LBS's.
The envelope had a hard time in transit and was in an Australian Post plastic bag to stop the goodies from coming out.

I'll do a delivery to the LBS on the way home tomorrow.

Thanks heaps. :)
