Do you believe this?

Check out the photo. Apparently this lot won medals at a velodrome.

I'm not one to be doubtful of facts but come on, couldn't you see them as being the geek squad from an American teenage movie ?

Love the footy socks.

Thank you. My son has just given up on track racing ... saving me the cost of a bike :D

Hmm, look like a bunch of highly trained elite athletes to me ..... NOT! :P

Actually, all credit to them for getting in there and having a go.

Just as well that the awards are based on performance.
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

The fact that they are holding a smallish trophy and not a bloody great winners cheque while getting a kiss from a gorgeous stunner, makes me think of a Manchester area schools cycling team, not elite level cyclists.

As long as they had fun, it's all good. Prizes are gravy.

Mind you, there is something vaguely Pythonesque about the young feller on the right.

O ye cynics and hard of heart ....
There's always F grade - even we get medals in the club championship!

I'm not that crash hot on the track, F grade would probably suit me.

Yeah, what a great attitude to all who give it a go!

LETS JUST KNOCK THEM DOWN.

Thought this site was for all cyclists of all levels! They might not look the best but remember that they are someones child, probably with a problem but at least they are there having a go! they are most likely having as much fun doing it as all of you are having hanging it on them. What would you think if it was one of your children or even one of your mates and everyone was hanging it on them.
Really we need to look and think about this. Hang what ever you want on me for taking there side but overall this has really shown me what some of the memebers of this site are really like.
There is no point telling all of you to have a good hard look at yourselves in the mirror, you would not probably be there for hours and would have blisters when you are finished loving yourselves.

Well like this is a forum of opion, I think That there is a limit in what is said!

With the comments how many are you little hitlers, seems like all that you would like is the fit well cut blonde hair blue eye person. So that it will not wreck the image of what you think is a "cyclist"
Didnt WWII start for a similar reason?

Richard doesn't wax.
Tuco sweats a lot.
Peter wears a scout masters uniform.
I have unpaid fines from the last time the style police caught up with me.

Cool it mate.

BTW, I'm part German.

And rides F grade with the ACT Vets - where he didn't get a medal in the Club championships - but turns up for as many events as he can, because he just likes giving it a go.
I think it's chill pill time! Re-read the thread - there's more self deprecation than any other sentiment, which is a very common theme in this forum - and no commercial self-interest!.

I was thinking of a full body wax. Heres my logic;
$5000 CF frame. 0.5kg saving
$200 full body wax 2.0kg saving

A very big one! :D

12.5x18 metres divided into 3 bays, centre bay double height, mezzanine, four post hoist, room for 9 cars comfortably (but if you tried really hard you could probably squeeze another one in).

A man needs his shed, and obviously it can never be too big. :P

I've got a half built boat in the shed - is that why I don't have to worry about having a wife? :D
