Our very own Gran Fondo!

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/amy-gil ... gran-fondo
The Amy Gillett Foundation has announced the first event of its kind in Australia, Amy's Gran Fondo, which will be held on Sunday 18 September, 2011. This mass participation road cycling event will allow up to 3,000 participants the opportunity to compete for over $20,000 in prize-money on a fully closed, safe 120km circuit around the iconic Great Ocean Road.
Ride details here http://www.amygillett.org.au/gran-fondo!

No3w I just need to find a way to convince SWMBO that it is a family weekend!

Hating you right now! That said it looks like there are a few Gran Fondos on when you are there. Perhaps you'll be having a crack at one?

If you are going to be anywhere near Pescara (Abruzzo region) have a look at Majella for a challenging climb! It featured in the 2009 Giro as part of an 84km stage!
