Tapatalk updated

Postby AUbicycles » Thu Nov 11, 2010 7:08 am

Tapatalk has been updated to the latest version.

In the old version I was getting crashes (restart iphone to reset) and general bad behaviour by the application.
The tapatalk plugin in this forum has been updated - and make sure you update to the current version of the software on your mobile device!

Cool tapatalk was crashing for me. You had to restart the phone to get any sense out of it afterwards

Me too - not very happy with tapatalk now - particulary when you are on the road and don't have the sim unlock code (required to restart).

Have not encountered any Tapatalk crashes on my iPhone, either accessing this or other forums. Must have been lucky.

The 3G signal at my house is pretty poor, I find that if I lose connection and then get it back, I get "forum unavailable" messages. Then I have to restart my entire iPhone to get back in.

Good find - that could be it, though I would expect that the application can reset itself without a phone restart.

Before the crash, sometimes I only see partial threads and can't do much before it crashes.

Hmm... I've never had the crashing problem. One of the lucky ones, I guess! I find Tapatalk very handy indeed. Anything to feed the BNA addiction!

Tapatalk updated again to 1.9.3 - recently the tapatalk crashes have no longer required an iphone restart, rather the application would crash, and I could re-open and then sign-in and enter the forum. Perhaps the stability is further improved - don't forget to ensure your phone app is also up to date.

Got a problem on Tapatalk (on iPhone) with logging onto the forum.

I accidentally cleared my account PW and had to reenter those login info. But have not been able to get on with the following error message - "Request Failed - You exceed the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to enter the confirm code from the image you see below." Of course, there's no image displayed on Tapatalk's login screen. So I am stuck!

Any solutions?

Do a search for tapatalk on this forum, it is an app that makes it easier to read and participate in forums.
Usually when you view this forum in your iphone browser there is a message that this forum is tapatalk enabled.

They only fix is to log in on a computer and pass the verification. Tapatalk will then work again :)

But I am already logged in on my laptop. No problems here. But I'll try a logout/login cycle and see.

Same here. My desktop stays logged in, so I had to log out and then it came up. Hope your not colourblind, even then it still may take a few goes.

Use your phone's web browser to navigate to the site, then click login. You'll be able to view the captcha code and enter it manually. Once you've successfully logged on this way, you should then be able to login via tapatalk.

Thanks for the follow-up and answers - I also logged on to the site over the phone browser and after that it was ok.

The multiple logging problem is not a tapatalk problem rather something else forum related that I am working on fixing. Here is the thread.

Thanks guys for the workaround. It worked by going back to my laptop. Subsequent Tapatalk sign on was successful. The idea of using Safari on the iPhone to work around whilst on the road is worth remembering.

Thanks comedian,
I was probably to quick to install the update this time - sometimes it pays to be a little slow.

Now updated to version 3.0.1!

(if you notice a glitch, it is not the Matrix, it's tapatalk).

With V 1.11.1 I'm finally a convert after a few long bus commutes. With the Latest view I find I see a lot more across all of the sub-forums than on the usual website. I know the link is there but I just don't seem to use it on the web version.
