Over the last month or so i've been commuting on my vintage Raleigh and Malvern Star.These old bikes are heavy and the Sturmy Archer 3 speeds are very unforgiving.But hey they're bloody great fun to ride.
Anyway i found this old Giant hiding up the back of my shed,its been in storage for about 15 years.
After riding the Malvern Star(1960's) and Raleigh(1970's) this Giant just blows me away.The gears and bike are so light.
Its my new commuter..........
Anyone now what this serial number means?-GX424673

Hey thanks,its a comfortable bike to ride and it pulls up nicely,unlike my old Malvern Star and Raleigh.

The real beauty of bikes like this is you can wear out a dozen groupsets over the years and the frame can be passed on to the grandkids.

Yes you're right,these are the bikes original tyres.This bike has been in storage for 15+ years.
I pulled it out of the shed,pumped some air into the tyres and took off on it.
