get on your bike, ride to Perth airport. Buy a ticket for a flight to Sydney. I think that will take around 4 hours?

How are you travelling? Scooter, motor bike, car, road train, skateboard, bicycle, tricycle, unicycle, by foot...
You said fairly fast, a plane fits that bill considering you have supplied absolutely no details.

(Not serioulsy but) if you are hitchiking it then I'd suggest that the unicycle will be the fastest - far fewer will pass you, preferring instead for an interesting conversation piece to break the monotony. (I have twice had to stick the thumb out on suburban main roads when I have had a flat and got instant pickup each time.)hannos wrote:How are you travelling? Sorry guys I assumed that as this was a cycling forum it would go without saying I'll be on my bicycle fully loaded so can camp out. Just wanted to know which route locals/other riders would recommend.

Head sort of east then when you see some red dirt on the side of the road, start heading south-east.

You'd probably be better in the "Toring Australia" thread section.

From Adelaide most use the Sturt Highway all the way to the Hume Freeway then strait on into Sydney.
