i was breezing through a Hillbrick catalogue for a 14tooth miche sprocket when i came across the HILLBRICK TRACK TANDEM. I had forgotten these things existed.
After revisiting Dunc Gray yesterday, I can only imagine the fear (and skill) that riding one of these beasts must involve...

I've heard they race them out at Tempe. Maybe Mike can give you a heads-up when they're going to drag them out again. Tandems were often used as pacing "vehicles" for track events. The Bol D'Or was one tandem paced event that I know of (yes, I'm a sad Oppy-phile) where teams of tandem riders took turns pacing competitors around the track for 24 hours.
