I'm off to the mountain at 5 tomorrow.. I think that might be a test of my cold weather gear. I'll report in.

I can tolerate riding in the rain when it's 25-30 degrees, but not in 8-17 degrees...who stole our sunshine and the mild winter weather that is supposed to be here??

Very sensible decision there. Clearly the wise thing to do. In fact even when you think you're better you're probably well advised to give it another few days.Oxford wrote:I'm almost happy to have a flu/cold so not able to ride, its damn cold at the moment, not that I wouldn't ride normally in this weather, but I cannot risk getting any sicker.

You're not kidding. You need to do about 500km every week next month to catch up to your goal. I don't know how you live with yourselfOxford wrote: I've been a bit slack.
Now on a brighter note, the sun is shinning, the birds are chirping & the sky is a nice shade of blue.
Think I'll get out the chainsaw & do my thing for the environment by removing that big ugly hard wood stump in the yard & topping up the fire.

But now that I'm home again it's damn cold.
And might get worse tomorrow.
Might have to go under the house and see if I can find that heater that I think is hiding somewhere...

It was a wee bit chilly heading out, but not so bad once I got going. Even flogging myself uphill I didn't get hot enough to take my warmers off - and I'm glad I bought some full fingered gloves. Still nice even now, though a little gloomy (and the rain is closing in on the radar).elantra wrote:Nice weather for cycling in brissie this morning, well nice with a head warmer on.

Sure beats getting on a trainer, and most cyclists are off the roads. Lets hope it stays dry(ish).

+heaps. An absolutely brilliant day. I did a quick ~40Km ride this morning and it was lovely. A bit of debris on the paths, as you'd expect, but otherwise a great day.marinmomma wrote:The weather is looking better for Sunday....
