DT Swiss R520 rims are pretty much the same (same dimensions, but I assume they are made in a different factory) and quite possibly cheaper. Pull the stickers off and nobody would be any the wiser. I think they only go up to 32h though, but that might have just been starbike.com. RR585 are a little better made, but as tiny bit heavier and little more expensive.

I can never understand why velocity wheels, originating in Australia, are always cheaper everywhere else in the world except here.
BTW I have a set and they are great wheels.
