DEER ON THE EAGLE BIKE TRACK
Postby BoardRider » Tue Jun 21, 2011 11:30 pm
I'm not sure if these deer have been around for while .I thought I should let others know.
I saw my first about 7pm last week at the old shell service station. It may have put riders travelling downhill at speed at risk ,wandering about and moving across the road.
The second jumped the guard rail by the Bollards a much larger animal around the same time coming out of the Park today.
I haven't encountered them before, I hope they aren't territorial like magpies otherwise I will need to purchase bigger zip ties.

I assume they escaped from 'somewhere', you know, like that deer farm, and it would be helpful to know if they've been reported to the council, Dept of Environment etc etc as a danger. If or when someone is injured civil action could follow

Was to slow to have done anything anyway ...
Great conditions though. Cool, quiet and no wind at all.
