Wow, Rode down Torrens Hill Rd yesterday hit 80kph and I was on the brakes most of the way down !!!! So probably could of hit 85 - 90 if I wasn't so scared !!!! Ha Ha Ha. Then rode up The Corkscrew for the first time, OMGosh, that is SO HARD !!!! I nearly gave up just before the switchbacks and then again just after them. But I made it !!!! I stopped for about 5-10 minutes at the top, I thought I was going to cough up a lung !!!!

That one is in Hawthorndene next to Blackwood, Myrtle Road if it's the same one.Old Man Well wrote:Years ago when I was fitter I used to ride up and back down it every day on my BMX just for fun! I have to see if I can still do it now.
I think there is a steeper hill in Blackwood somewhere but I can't remember exactly where, sorry.
