The maps are good, you could well get lost going by markers only. Also suggest taking some RAA district maps (like Flinders Ranges etc), sometimes the trail can get close to the edge of the topo maps, if you ride off the edge it can be harder to find where you are. Also you could use a GPS to make riding easier.

I'm planning to finish off the trail in October this year, just 3 days left to Blinman.
