A place you could have a look at is this http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/info/187/ you might be able to match up the serial number on the frame but you might have all ready been there.
That embossing up there near the head tube is different i thought most of them were just round cut out circle ..

thanks for the reply but i have just found out it is not a redline but it is an australian made 1982 crossrider
