The horseradish and garlic tabs work a treat. We keep them on hand for treating cold and flu, along with echinacea and megadoses of Vitamin C. Reduces the severtiy and length of the cold from 10 days to 3. Not having to use anything with pseudoephedrine to keep the monster snot rockets at bay also means I can sleep instead of being kept wide awake feeling like atwitchy critter tossing and turning all night.
Works far better than the lame pseudoephedrine substitutes they're putting on the market to beat the methamphetamine labs. Those new "substitutes" do nothing for me whatsoever.

Can you get all that in a single tab?trailgumby wrote:The horseradish and garlic tabs work a treat. We keep them on hand for treating cold and flu, along with echinacea and megadoses of Vitamin C.

Having shares in Blackmores helps.
I'm a confirmed sceptic of a lot of the alternative medical theories. Some of it is so far out in left field it's gone around the planet and is coming up on your right hand side. "Lala land" would be being kind when describing the frameworks. Nevertheless, I think they've discovered stuff that works, the practitioners just have no real idea that is based in experimental medicine or anything that looks like they understand cellular biology.

1) You are alive with warm blood.
2) Your nasal passage is warm and humid, doing its job well.
3) You are a nasal breather.
It's a natural outcome with cold air. The condensation of moisture in the air accumulates and drips out... That's all.

Similar problem but my problem is hay fever hot or cold,I use rhinocort nasal spray over counter at chemist when things start getting drippy.Patches wrote:Not sure if there's much I can do about it, but has anyone else had their nose starting to run like a tap after a few minutes of riding? Hot or cold doesn't seem to make a difference, and even when my nose is completely clear before I leave I inevitably end up with snot all over my face after a few minutes. Does anyone have any idea if nasal drops, antihistemines (though I don't have any allergies or hayever as far as I know) and so on would help? Thanks!

At least the peak hour traffic is pretty minimal on the ride to work.

Sadly no bikes down here, but an exercise bike in the gym. Haven't used it though, pretty much all my work is field based with lots of walking. Thus much experience in 2 deg temps, drizzle, 30kn winds and a bloody nose that won't stop dripping like a tap.trailgumby wrote:So what do you guys ride down there? A Surly Moonlander?
