Yeah, what a fantastic day. I sold lots of stuff and even managed to buy a few things. A bright green Fizik saddle for the green beast, and a set of wireless bike speakers so I can run a mobile disco. Good to meet a few BNAers. Can't wait till the next one.

PS. best bargain I heard of was a friend snapped up a SRAM Red rear derailer for $30.

How great was that. Lots of great bikes. Plenty of road, track and BMX but no vintage mtb's. What bike won the show and shine?

Some crappy phone piccies

late 1950's Hetchins

Healing track

5 star fixed gear road/track

Picked up a nice Hoffy track bike for myself. $300 bargain. Vintage Campy, Cinelli and Sugino bits. Very happy camper. :D

I'd like to thank the organizers of Pushies Galore for a wonderful day. I didn't find much to buy but the time spent looking and photographing some really beautiful bikes and chatting with various people was priceless.

Charlotte, the 1972 Peugeot that lives with me will now be totally impossible to live with. At every possible opportunity she will be telling me how she was the best road bike there and how the prize really belongs to her. I guess once you allow a French woman into your life it's all downhill from there.

Anyway, thanks guys - it was a wonderful day.
It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

Fantastic day, I didn't buy anything but had a fantastic time walking around, chatting and looking at all the bike porn that was sitting there, glistening in the sun. The minister for war and finance came with me (she isn't into bikes at all) but had a fantastic time too...

and wearing pants too, probably.
I saw you! I looked at that shirt and immediately thought "I want that shirt"... I wish I'd have a look back at the forum before coming there... I would have said something instead of admiring it from afar!

Thanks to the organisers. I felt guilty having such a good time for very little so chucked some more cash in the buckets at the entrance on the way out.

A really successful day for myself & the Squirrel today.

Managed to sell about $600 worth of gear & may have a buyer for the 64 Hetchins, although after receiving the second place prize in the road bike section I'll have to re-think that.

Good to meet Zynster, Munga, Mount Gower, Singlespeedscott, S, Fresh patents & others from various bike shops around Brisveagus.

Also enjoyed a pedal powered banana & date smoothie located beside the Kombi coffee van. Sweeet.
Gas propulsion.......it's natural don't fight it.

The three of us want to thank the organizers, participants, and bowls club too. Great day.
Great to see something like this levering from bottom up community spirit, rather than top down corporate initiative. Though good to see both there.

There was some good planning behind it. And then throw in the food, bare foot bowls, outstanding musicians, and it was exactly what a community based do should be.

I didn't buy anything but haggled a little for some pedals, saddles, and a helmet....lesson learned...if you want something, take it then and there...cos someone else might get it if you walk, or the vendor might be gone when you come back  ....so we tried to make up by spending on food. :) 3 sausage sizzles, 1 soup, 1 tea, 2 self bike blended chai's (great idea and can't wait to try a high speed bike driven vegetable juicer as opposed to blender), and a stubbie at the club....

We enjoyed watching the barefoot bowls, so many kids really got into it; inspecting all the bikes on show, and chatting with like minded bicycle obsessives.

Elska our golden retriever got lots of pats and a sausage, so she came home happy too. :)

Dunno if this is worth a try but I need to contact the bloke who bought a 100mm "N.V.O" brand steerer stem from me.

Because i have sold him the STEM and forgot to give him it's requisite SHIM.
The shim is a specific bit that goes over the steerer so the stem can be adjusted up n down without re-arranging washers.

Anyway if anyone knows the big bloke approx 50yrs, in dark T-shirt who I think was selling stuff near or from a white early 90's Falcon wagon then could you please advise him to contact me so I can give him the specific Shim for this part.

looks like it was a good day!

I decided against going because:
a) I slept in rather late
b) I already have waaaaay too much bike crap lying around. Now that I think about it, I should have come along and sold some of it

What an Excellent day!
Great bikes and a great swap! Thanks to the organisers and stall holders! can't wait till next year.
So what bikes won the awards?
I picked up a wonderful pair of Detto Pietro racing shoes, a pair of period Campagnolo knicks, and some other parts for one of my old racing bikes. all hard stuff to find. It was a great success for me and I saw a few other bargains for other people being had!

If that's Munga, a guy pointed him out to me the other day as a bit of a gun cyclist, for his age. :)

Does anyone know the Asian guy who had the video camera on the end of a stick. He was using some interesting shooting technique. Would be curious to see how the footage turned out.

Next time I'm wearing West End alt, so I fit in.
