1) You are alive with warm blood.
2) Your nasal passage is warm and humid, doing its job well.
3) You are a nasal breather.

It's a natural outcome with cold air. The condensation of moisture in the air accumulates and drips out... That's all.
That's what I reckon happens to me.

If you have 'constant hayfever' as well, try seeing a dietician, you might have a food allergy. I gave up wheat and symptoms stopped...

YMMV

No it snot. The air starts out cold and warms up in your bod so that's not condensation.

Its a pain because my gloves get soggy. Then I have to wash them and they take days to dry so generally by the end of winter they are gross.

Also during a race I am more concerned about what is going on in front of me to care about the riders behind me.

I can't understand the complaint. Just about everybody has the same mucous flows, but some of us enjoy the practice, nay, the art of the 'High pressure pulmonary assisted bilateral release of biomaterial'. (quoted from TLL)

Yes it seems cold weather, just think about the end of the training, and a hot tee, or coffee, or EPO :)
Anyway, most of us knows how to blow your nose when you ride, maybe its not the nicest way, but it works!
Take some vitamin C and eat properly.

I normally just do the auld fairmers hankee after it starts running to clear out all the crud and no problem after that.

I get it too man. Haven't found a way to solve it, so I just keep wiping it on the gloves and throwing them in the wash when I get home. Happens in hot and cold weather, but strangely not more in either.

Only happens to me during the cooler morning rides.. I simply blow my nose with some tissues at a traffic light and I'm all good.

Bloody pollen at the moment, particularly the shrubs flowering along the PSP south of Anketell.

My nose is a tap.

Using a nose gel called Otrivin, best thing ever, not sure if it is available in Australia though, bought during my Austrian holiday.

I use the over the counter nasal spray version of Otrivin. Couple of sprays be I ride and I'm usually right for the ride... If it's hayfever related then an appropriate antihistamine is sometimes useful

Just find the gel works a lot better and longer lasting as well, always buying a few tubes when on holidays in Europe , have to research if we can source it in Australia

This is happening to me so badly at the moment. I send off a snot rocket every 5-10 minutes... a minor annoyance, but I'm concerned that it will hit someone's precious car and they will chase me :P

When someone comes up with an answer that works please let us know. I have the same problem & it's bad. Have tried many remedies but have not found a solution yet. I will give the Otrivin a go, can't do any harm.
