the lastest model (the ones you have shown in the link) have really jumped up in price. The previous model was around $1,300 from o/s. I've been told that they didn't change much. So you might be able to pick up an old model set at a 1/2 secent price if you are inclined to but 2nd hand. I looked into it, but couldn't find anything suitable about the traps. I ended up going with Chinese knock offs for 1/3 the price. So far so good.

I wonder why Bracchianos aren't listed? I am close to pulling the trigger but not keen on getting pulled up by an officious type volunteer at an open race telling me I can't race cause my wheels are on the List.

The Bracciano is a "standard" wheel by definition, as such does not require specific UCI testing/approval.

Greg at TWE made me a pair of 50mm full carbon clinchers with DT Swiss Aero spokes and smooth (but loud) hubs 20F / 24R 1,380gr (actual weight) for $1,700 plus courier delivery with greg's famous 'lifetime repair' warranty.

I use them as my every day ride, no issues after a couple of thou. km. They ride beautifully, roll forever..... blah blah blah and are every bit as good as old mate from down the road with 2010 404's fitted to the same bike as mine.

+1 For Greg at TWE .... 4,500km on my 50mm Full Carbon Clinchers since January 2011 .... They have never skipped a beat.
I have ridden deep Zipps, Dura-Ace, Bouwmeesters and Mavic's .... The TWE are better wheels than the lot.
