Thanks Ride Magazine

Postby RICHARDH » Mon Jul 25, 2011 12:38 am

Isnt it nice that Ride Cycling Review have waited for the end of the Tour to bring out the July issue. Would have hated to wait for an Australian Perspective of the Tour.

Agreed. Definetly worth the wait. I hope they have ordered a heap of paper for this issue.

No, I don't think so.

Ride actually announced they were holding off on the July issue until August to ensure the TDF was covered, rather than waiting for the October issue like previous years. It may even be announced in the Tour Guide.

I wasn't taking the p*ss, I have always thought the mid July issue a really funny one . I'm really glad I won't have to wait till August to read Australia's best cycling mag celebrate cadel's win.

So, do we assume Cadel will be on the front cover??

Oh yeah, we do. There's an occupational hazard with being a quarterly publication, and that's timing and relevance. Two occupational hazards. Timing, relevance and opportunity. Three occupational hazards. Publisher Rob Arnold is also English language scribe/editor for ASO's official TDF website reportage, so gets to be quite busy in July.

Being the English editor one would have thought he would have known FOCUS bikes were not appearing in the TdF for the first time this year (Milram rode them for at least 2 seasons) as reported in the official TdF guide :P

They said on twitter yesterday an in store date will be out soon.

I suscribe so I expect a couple of days after that. Either way, not soon enough. It should be a cracker.
