Well, I'm not sure about this of course..
Today when using google maps doing a "walking" route in to the CBD from southside it directs me along the bikeway from O'Keefe St all the way to Dock St.
Plus, the section from Park Rd up to O'Keefe St is definitiely shared with both Ped and Cyclist markings signed.

Well, it certainly means there will be increased pedestrian numbers on the entire path... Luckily the view is poor, otherwise it'll become like the Bicentenial bikeway (Coro Drive).... crowded, dangerous.. and slow.

As are the line seperators on the Bicentennial bikeway.. makes no difference to some.beauyboy wrote:I ride it everyday and the markings are very clear
Let's just hope the increased numbers are in bike riders not in peds.

if you go here http://www.nearmap.com/?ll=-27.49714,15 ... d=20110708 (http://www.nearmap.com) you will be able to see the path quite clearly as nearmap has much better photo resolution than google. Also nearmap does flights quite often so photos of the area are more up to date. Also put on streetmaps (http://www.nearmap.com/?ll=-27.496157,1 ... d=20110708) and you will see the walking track end at Peterson St.
If I had to walk i'd go as far as the path takes me to Peterson St then down to Stanley past Mater hospital and easy walk to Dock St that way. Not sure if I would chance going along the bikeway from Peterson to Dock St as I am sure you'll get cleaned up on the blind corners.
cheers
Dave
