Tag-along bikes or 'The Sow's Ear becomes a Semi-Trailer'

The lass did 12km on her bike yesterday. Not in one hit though. We went on a BikeSA ride for 'pedalling parents'. Pity it was just us and the two organisers but considering it was in the mid 30s and quite windy, not to mention the week after christmas, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. Lots of stops at playgrounds. She loved it. The Sow's Ear even behaved itself though according to the elcheapo heart rate monitor I was wearing, I died about 5km from the end (it stopped working).
