Who can top my week?
Postby Leigh_caines » Thu Feb 14, 2008 5:01 pm
So 7 days and hears what I took into my body
Meds..
184 Panadol
28 shots of Morphine
1 big handful of Endone
56 big bags of Saline drip
28 bags [drip] of Fladgel [antibiotics]
214 unknown pills that had strange names
Food.
Nothing for 5days then…
I sit with joy at my first meal but
What do they give me?
Meatballs covered in cheese [but this is for a guy who hasn’t eaten for 5 days and who asked for a low fat meal]
Maybe I can eat the desert?
Cream thingo
Look these one slice of white bread so that is my first meal
Up comes the next meal and this one will be right because now I’ve talked to the expert on food and she fixing it all up or so she said
This meal I can’t even describe as it’s all fat not even a slice of white bread
I get the nurse to un plug me from all the drips and wake out of the hospital and buy a wholemeal sandwich with tomato and no butter. Wow was it good.
Next day I again walk out and buy a good sandwich and a coffee [wow that was even better]
Then I get to go home and wait 14 months till they’ll take out my Gall Bladder .
Got home and rode my bike down to the shop… sure only a k but it felt great

For the cost of those, you could have easily bought yourself a custom steel or full CF bike.Leigh_caines wrote:Meds..

Ah, the normal one was meatballs with gravy, chips and cheese......Meatballs covered in cheese [but this is for a guy who hasn’t eaten for 5 days and who asked for a low fat meal]
Nup, I can't top your week. My sympathies!

56 bags of saline (typically 1 litre bags) over 7 days would work out to be 8 bags a day! That's enough to drown you internally!
Are you sure you haven't got your numbers mixed up? Half of that number would be more like it I'd say.

but
I was counting
Maybe us hicks out in the sticks get "half bags"
sh*t this is not belonging to the people any more and those boys from Yanky Land have to make their $s
Even the water had their brand on it
Could be all that Morff or I'm gettting Parnoid in my old age
Still bloody good to get 1k in for the week and these still tomorow.

bike is sluggish
go home
get another bike
bike sluggish
Aooo...
Not the bike but the engine
Yeah this is going to take a bit more then I first thought to get back to normal
Not really going to happen till I get rid of this Gall Bladder.
Shame to have to spend 3 to 6000 $s to get it out but think that is the way I'll go
Lest then I can pick the man to cut me up instead of some kid straight out of school that I wouldn't let work on my bike.

Don’t drink
Don’t smoke
Eat well… [as in lots of fresh Fruit and Veg}
Do have a coffee a day
Get lots a miles in on my many bikes
But am near 62 and I guess some part of all of as is going to crap up one day
Just the longer it take to get here the better and I can think of worse things than a Gall Bladder giving up.
But then I have too much imagination

Hmm, no food for a week, lots of drugs, and the gall bladder has to come out?Leigh_caines wrote: Then I get to go home and wait 14 months till they’ll take out my Gall Bladder .
Sounds like how I spent last October, lemme guess, Pancreatitis?
Fun isn't it. the 14 month wait is a right bugger, I was lucky, only had to wait 3 weeks, finally got some use out of the private health insurance.
The Gall bladder op isn't that bad, assuming they can do it via keyhole. I was only in overnight, was up and about after 2 days and back to my previous levels of unfitness after 4 weeks or so.

Headache, cold like simtoms, loss of balance, sore gut, weak, voice going, and more.
So what’s all this got to do with the Gall Bladder?
Nothing.
Last night I do a search and find the guilty party.
â€!!! Spammer !!!€
That stuff will kill you.
I don’t take it last night or this morning.
Get up do 40 ks on the recumbent and I feel great!
