Looking for old suspension dragster/bmxhi guys, im currently looking to start a project using a particular type of suspension bmx/dragster, the one in particular is called 'FALCON' i think, there are various types so im not sure what i want till i see it, i do know it has to have a triple clamp and the two shocks on the rear- not the one with the single shock that is stuck to the head tube and seat stays and is pivoted just behind the bottom bracket. although the triple clamp from that style is what im after. any images or whatever would be most appreciated. thanks
steel is the real deal.
Re: Looking for old suspension dragster/bmxHere's a Yamaha bike. I've been looking for one of these for a while.
Apparently there are a few in Japan. So if you know anyone there it might be worth checking out. ![]()
Re: Looking for old suspension dragster/bmx
thats very similar to what ive seen, in fact better. i did see one like that on ebay but not as good as that one and had it not been 'pick up only' from outside of Sydney i would have (if i could have outbid everyone) snapped it up. im after the main bits: frame/ forks/ shocks. Thanks for the image. its quite a nice bike. pitty its not mine steel is the real deal.
Re: Looking for old suspension dragster/bmxHave a read of this thread: http://www.ozbmx.com.au/index.php?showt ... ntry320527
I wouldn't mind owning an old school suspension bmx bike myself. X______________________________
Re: Looking for old suspension dragster/bmxnice one. i want to build a push bike version of a 1970's Ducati which actually has a very similar frame design.
steel is the real deal.
Re: Looking for old suspension dragster/bmxmake your own with a pipe bender and welder!!
Hopefully I'll be making frames by the end of the year. Don't have workspace at the moment.
Re: Looking for old suspension dragster/bmx
workspace is problematic for me also. single bedroom unit. no garage steel is the real deal.
Re: Looking for old suspension dragster/bmxI have some. PM me.
Re: Looking for old suspension dragster/bmx
I had one of these, or one similar, had preload adjustment on the rear shocks, but I think mine had Cotter pin cranks, it was orange, swapped it for a .177 slug gun, should have kept the bike. Heavy, heavy heavy, made of steam pipe I think, rode smooth though.
