guidogad,
When I rode on singles (a few years ago) , we had double sided tape to secure (or supposedly secure) the tyre to the rim. A flat tyre could be changed quickly because the tape would retain its "stickiness" for one change of tyre. I don't know if glued singles tyres can be replaced on the road without re-gluing; if they can't you would be better off with clinchers for road use.
I thought double sided tape was obsolete but Tufo_tubs who make tubulars /singles make double sided tape for their singles. Good quality singles are about $80 to $120. I bought a pair of Conti_Giros for $40.00 because the bike I am restoring won't be going very far.
One of my wheels still has double sided tape on it which was applied in the sixties.
