Hi,
I am looking for expression of interest for weekday morning rides from Hornsby to Brooklyn. This distance is about 55km return. I usually make the U-turn at the base of Mt White, where there is the turn off to Cheerio Pt. I usually leave at around 6-615am and get home around 745-8am.
I have been off the bike for 3 weeks due to pnemonia and I am still not feeling in perfect health but would like to go for this ride this Wednesday. Hope to get to meet more people on bikes.
It could be a weekly affair.
Cheers.
Jon

I am up for that, I am currently in Davidson so I can ride to Hornsby and meet you there, lets alteast climb Mt White than turn
If you can't explain it simply, then you don't understand it well enough.

Sounds good to me, but I will probably only be able to do a Mt White climb on Thursdays or Fridays. I get to start work a little later those days.Addictr3 wrote:I am up for that, I am currently in Davidson so I can ride to Hornsby and meet you there, lets alteast climb Mt White than turn
Does a 6am start time seem good for you?

Hi David,
Certainly, but at present, it is just me. No one else riding to Brooklyn. I did the ride this morning and there were a few NSCC riders but they took the right hand turn to Bobbin Heads.
This is the route I took this morning and is the typical route.

There is another group that does the Brooklyn Dash on Tuesday evening starting from Hornsby Cycles at 6pm. They only ride during summer and autumn when the days are longer. Friendly people.
Cheers,
Jon

Sorry Jon about not getting back to you; I have been in the process of moving. I currently have been riding the West Head / Akuna Bay loop. I just moved back down to Manly. I was at Frenchs Forest so coming up to Hornsby was a little easier. Not sure if you every ride West head but if you did, let us know.
If you can't explain it simply, then you don't understand it well enough.
