Weather looks good tomorrow, bike is ready to roll, hard a hard week at work, looking forward to getting out...
Unfortunately not feeling too good tonight, could be coming down with something. Better give it a miss tomorrow.
Next weekend guys,

oh how this group seems to be evolving. sorry i haven't been able to join you guys but things have been hectic lately (passing in the family). i'm really hoping there will be another ride saturday next week (27th). i'm a lock in for the ride thats for sure. btw what speed do you guys average? i know i've read previously that all riders go at a pace that suits all, but i would really hate to slow everyone down.

hello chaps, i'm keen to tag along this weekend. Between sickness, work and bad weather it has kept me off the bike for a few weeks so eager to get back on and do some more km's. I'll PM Ozzie friday night to say yay or nay, but hopefully it's a yay. I tend to average between 25-30kph depending on the roads but i promise i'll keep up regardless. But i do love a casual social ride.

Hi guys great ride today. Seven riders in total with three new faces that are commited to next weekends ride. As of next weekend Saturday September 3rd and from then on we are going to get an earlier start. Helps free up the day a bit and keeps the partners and wives on side.

So same meeting point Degani Coffee Shop Point Cook Town Centre near Coles entrance but 8.00am sharp departure.

Set your alarm clocks !!

Moving forward we will head out every Saturday from 8.00. Hope to see you all next week. Have a good week at work. Regards Colin.

i had a ball today, thanks for arranging it Colin. Riding next to you in Willy was a mistake, i think i'm pregnant already you potent son of a gun and all we did was talk.

I was surprised when i heard Jonald was an engineer, i could of sworn i saw him in TV as a Groundskeeper in Springfield.

And I think i've figured out Migs' issue. He claims it was a flat tyre but i think it was a sneaky trouser cough that came out way too loudly and he quickly came up with the flat tyre story to hide it. It would explain the lack of puncture.

Can we order a tail wind for the return trip next week?

Yours with slightly tender thighs, Jason

Hello all,
looking to join the Point Cook ride this weekend (3rd Sept), is it from Degani Main St at 9.00am or has it changed? What distance do you ride and at what speed? Regards

it's moving to 8am from this week just so everyone can get on with their day afterwards. Speeds are pretty comfortable, we did do a couple of sprints the other day but that's not compulsary, just having a bit of fun and getting the heart rate up for a km or two. But you're free to just cruise along at your own pace as we stop if someone drops back too far. I think the distance was roughly 45km's. I'm coming from Hoppers Crossing which added 20km's to my overall trip and i did 66km's so the guys from Pt Cook would do a few less depending on where you come from, but from the coffee shop to Willy and back would be about 45 i'd say. It's a good bunch of guys and a fun way to start the weekend.

Here's my ride. It might give you a decent idea of what its like. http://app.strava.com/rides/1386119

Hi guys great ride today under challenging conditions. Extremely windy but good fun. Another new face joined today with another 5 regulars. In total we have around 10 riders now within the group if we all turn up so we are slowly growing.
As mentioned Luke and I are out next week but will be back Saturday September 17th meet you all at the same place Degani Coffee Shop 8.0am kick off.
Matt good luck with the Grand Fondo in a couple of weeks.
To those of you riding next week ENJOY.
See you all soon. Colin.

Gentleman, it was great to meet those who showed up today. Although the wind was against us most of the trip, a tough day cycling sure beats a great day working. With the weather on the improve (fingers crossed) I wouldn't be surprised to see the numbers increase.
