Scumbag on Queen St (AT) 8am today
Postby The 2nd Womble » Mon Sep 19, 2011 12:52 pm
To the POS that rode in between both lines of traffic from Queen St down to Eagle St this morning, stopped beside my truck, told me he would cut my appendage off, spat on and puched my windscreen, ripped my LHS wiper half off and then bolted:
I followed you to just short of the corner of George and Mary St's (along Mary St), where you did a u-turn, knocked into a woman and took off in the opposite direction. I was hoping you'd man up but it didn't happen. I always see cyclists in the city more than once, and I will find you
We have several witnesses to the incident including office and construction workers.
Today you are wearing a purple long sleeve unbuttoned business shirt, black/dark navy slacks and black dress shoes, a white Kmart special helmet, Bronze Aviator sunnies, riding an average kinda MTB. You are 50ish and have a Scottish (Glasweigan?) accent.
If anyone else on the forum works with him, please let me know. It was funny at the time and it gave a few onlookers a good show, but now my windscreen is covered in Hep-C infested spit I am on the warpath and the Police are on the lookout.
Again, I WILL FIND YOU

As he pulled back up beside me on my left I rolled down the window and told him he was a ****ing idiot, at which point the comedy kicked off.

I read that first line, "To the POS that rode in between both lines of traffic from Queen St down to Eagle St this morning" and thought, that could be me!... I am a bit confused, but you didn't call him a "f-ing idiot" just because he was filtering did you? I definitely don't agree with filtering at high speed, especially in the am on eagle street, there's pedestrians everywhere walking between cars! But the lunacy of some drivers who get so pissed off by cyclists and motorbike riders who safely filter is unbelievable sometimes. Not saying that's the case here!

My truck has AGF stickers at both corners on the rear AND on the front in the center of the Bullbar, I am OCD about checking for cyclists at all times including getting in and out of the truck, and many of the CBD bike couriers gimme a shoutout or wave when they see me because they know what me and my driving means to them.
If a rider is being a Twat, I tell them so, but I make every allowance I can for them. IMO if there were more of me on the road there would be a bucket load of less dead cyclists in QLD ATM.
Guys like this need to be told they're sub human by as many people as possible until such time as they wake up to themselves or end up under a BCC Bus

He's a drongo who will eventually dance with the devil once too often. I just hopes that on that day, no innocents will be caught in the middle.

I like to think of them as "future speed bump".hosko wrote:Regardless where he is from, he is going to be a "temporary" Australian if he continues to ride like that.
Once you've heard the sound of a car hitting a cyclist and breaking bones, or someone screaming because their leg is trapped around a wheel of a 4WD, you start to touch your own mortality.

I cant believe how shocked that makes me feel just reading that, let alone actually hearing that (or even worse the circumstance in the above post).ValleyForge wrote:I like to think of them as "future speed bump".hosko wrote:Regardless where he is from, he is going to be a "temporary" Australian if he continues to ride like that.

Motorcyclist trapped under the front wheel of a B-Double LPG tanker... took me months to get over that little scene.molly wrote:I cant believe how shocked that makes me feel just reading that, let alone actually hearing that (or even worse the circumstance in the above post).ValleyForge wrote:I like to think of them as "future speed bump".hosko wrote:Regardless where he is from, he is going to be a "temporary" Australian if he continues to ride like that.

(Yes, he survived... well, most of him, anyway).
