Bike shop near hawthorn to box some wheels?

Postby Dr_Mutley » Sun Sep 25, 2011 10:31 pm

Hi guys,
I just bought some wheels off eBay and the seller has found it "hard" to find a box to send them in.... He suggest he has been to 3 LBSs and none had any wheel boxes or anything suitable. Anyone suggest a nearby bikeshop which will have a wheelbox or who will box them for me for a charge? Or any wise suggestions?

Not sure how has has turned out so hard but it appears it is... Any help greatly appreciated...
Cheers Harry

Try Dean at BikeLife in Auburn Rd, Hawthorn or the boys at Bike Gallery in Camberwell. Bike Force in Richmond would be helpful too (Sean or Alistair).

Another option that isn't too far from Hawthorn - Andy at BikePro (Surrey Hills) has boxed/shipped things no stress for me in the past. Check their website, strange operating hours.

Thanks all for the suggestions...
Dean (AT) bikelife got me sorted...

Jules: ended up my problem because the seller wanted to charge a ridiculous amount to courier the wheelset... I asked him whether he would box them up and I'd arrange my own courier to save costs, and he agreed... I bought the wheels, and then when the seller went looking for a box, it seemed no LBS near the seller had any suitable boxes, so he was unwilling to do anything further...

All worked out in the end... Cheers all...
