Frost Bite!

Postby toolonglegs » Thu Sep 22, 2011 3:58 pm

 ...had a bit of a sore psoas / hip flexor pain last night so after a stretch I hit it with the ice pad...seems my new freezer is a bit cooler than old one!.
Wasn't on that long (close to the groin on inside of thigh...hence no photos :P )...when I lifted it up quite a big patch of flesh had gone hard and frozen.Whoops!.
Thawed it out quick enough but nice big red mark there this morning.

If you're sweaty.... salt + ice = way below 0°c

It is pretty much gone now...just was a bit surprised to pull up the pack and find such a solid lump of flesh...problem being the psoas muscle is so deep that you can really ice it.

One way to acclimatise to your forthcoming French winter rides.
The trouble with jogging is that the ice falls out of your glass

Winter seems a long way off at the moment...ok the leaves are changing color but it is rather toasty!.
