How's your German. I'm still learning so I could only pick up something about cycling barefoot happily with these on the pedals.sbra9635 wrote:This just made me laugh, along with the other ones shown on the site but this one was bike specific

Its actually a swiss website, but they speak 'swiss-german'.
It says:
-------
Summer Pedal
Sponge fastened to the pedal with a rubber band.
Ride your bike Barefoot and happy.
------
Wood on the pedals... bad thing is that when the weight of the wooden platform flips the pedal around and you can't reach... have to stop on the gutter, turn the pedal around and then continue.
I think that riding with thongs is easier... I see so many of these type of bike riders down at the beach and cringe when I think of big toes being cut of in the chain and chainring.

Years and years ago I broke my big toe on my left foot riding with thongs. the chain got stuck on the downstroke and caused my foot to plough into the pavement. I still had to ride another 5kms to get home. That one hurt more than my recent injuries (excl. the cracked rib)

Not trying that one! You'll see me in lycra first
If anything hurts more than a cracked rib, I don't want it.

Ha Ha!
That was a good laugh. Did you have a look at all the other weird inventions?...I bet all the inventors ended up working for Ikea.
I really like the anti bug in the mouth/ catcher thing attached to the helmet (the fly swatter). It would most likely work well, but the fashion police might go balistic!!!

A bit off topic:
Or maybe not, most of the ideas seemed pretty orginal too me. Ikea might be good however they are very sneaky in copying other design and either making enough changes as not to infringe copyright or simply having enough legal and financial power behind them to make it hard for the smaller industrial designer to even challenge a copyright claim.Mr888 wrote:I bet all the inventors ended up working for Ikea.

You use to be able to buy a purpose built version of this in the past. Haven't seen one in recent times.
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?
