Note that 'competitiveness' isn't just a measure of your raw speed. Racing savvy (when to pass, when to sprint, and when NOT to do those things) can be equally, if not more, important.

stop worrying and just sign up in the lowest class they'll let you, and if it's too low, start racking up trophies until they promote you.
