the 60km looks pretty good. I was worried it would go up the main rd to the top of Mt Macedon, which is a hell of a climb and i feared a slow sweaty death so i'm glad it goes around it. Hills are something i have been trying to get better at, after starting at 0% ability a few months back and currently sitting at 13% ability, so i'm keen to give it a go. It's a nice area up that way so it'll be a pleasant ride. I did a similar route to that map a few weeks ago with 30 drunken men on a bus, doing it sober with men in lycra will be much more pleasant.

Gentleman, just signed on for the 60km ride. Looking forward to it, the ride looks short but still challenging and might drive our small group to strive for something longer in the future. Get on board, the ride is for a great cause!

I`m good for this Saturday, forecast is cloudy, chance of showers, so no problem...
Also signed up for the 60km Mt Macedon ride, looking forward to this.
As a warm up for the weekend I cycled to work today (Albert Park Road), going to try and do this once a week.

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone was planning on a spin this coming Saturday? Weather's looking good and I'm keen on giving it a go and see how I manage. (I can deal with the stopping and feet unclipping stuff now  )
That is, as long as you are happy for a chick to come along (I don't take offense easily so don't worry, you can continue with all your manly man talk  )
I have managed 30-35 kms on my own so far with no visible physical stress (although its been with a lot of stop starting due to working out roads and routes etc) but would love to stretch the legs and see what I can actually do without the stress of working out where I have to go next, to just follow someone would be nice. :D

Also, for those wanting to ride tomorow, but not in the morning.
My friends and me are doing a ride called WRR ; western region ride.
This 85km ride is designed to be done after work
and is a weekly event.

But seeing tomorow is a public holiday, mayby more people can join in ??
(unfortunatly for one, he has to work on public holidays..)

The starting time for this special holiday edition is 3'30 from docklands.
The ride is 85 km in total, as we travel from docklands via werribee south back to docklands.
But people can also join in from let's say altona (pier street) or point cook (corner of point cook road,/sanctuay lakes boulevard).
I personally wil ride from point cook to docklands, and finish via werribee south in point cook.

If interested, just let me know, so I inform the group we got an addition on the way.

Don't celebrate to early woman...
They make perfectly good 'make sure this fella stays unaffected from the dangerous girlie thingy's' products nowadays... :D
I also already arranged a 'special night out' with everybody that rides in point cook, just to be on the safe side, you know...

So, this means all of us 'men' wil be ready for the arrival of the other gender, so there is no backing up now...
And no excuses like 'weather' or 'I overslept' either... , or we might have to come and get you...

This will be our last hit out before our Mt Macedon ride so who looks like coming out ? Luke and I are definate starters. Regards Colin.

hehehe I think there'll be quite a few pale aussies around this weekend, the weather lately has hardly been encouraging for a tan!!

Just a question - roughly how long do the rides last for (I know it depends on the slowest rider (which I am 100% certain will be me! :D ) but just a rough guide please), so what time do you tend to arrive back in Pt Cook? Just so I can give hubby a rough ETA.

Looking forward to Saturday!!
