Brisbane Retro Mountainbike Ride?

Along with the retro road ride I wonder if anyone would be up for a retro mountainbike ride?
I am thinking of rigid forks and flat pedals .. maybe steel rims! Pre 1990 kind of stuff but anyone welcome. Gap Creek or Nebo via South Boundary Rd in early 2012???
Whaddya reckon? It would give me focus to fix up my first clunker with the slack OC angles.
