Happy to go with the general concenus of the group, Saturday doesn't look great, but you can never tell. I'm available for either day. I went down to Degani's last week, got there about 8.05am and 2 other riders were having a coffee at the cafe avoiding the down pour. Wasn't the smartest move on my behalf and I've only just finished drying the water of the bike... Never again in that weather!!!!

Migz, I think we wait till tomorrow arvo / night, wait for some other usual riders to give there thoughts and then decide on which day.

on another note when is our next `away day` after our mildly successful run up at Gisborne. I see there is an Amy Gillett ride early Jan around the peninsula or any other ideas?

How about this ride boys?

Anyway who's up for a ride tomorrow or Sunday? Rain is forecast for both days so I'm hoping it's nothing like last weekend!

Re: Sat ride. I'll get the ball rolling, I will be at Degani's in the morning.... Hopefully not on my own. Migz, that 3 Peaks ride is from all accounts is one of the toughtest in Aust, so good luck with that!, I reckon 2013 might be a target for me with that ride. Hope to see some familier faces at the usual time 2moro.

Boy's had a look at the Amy Gillet ride that Don posted, looks like a good 120km loop. I've ridden to Indented Heads and to Ocean Grove a number of times and its beautiful down there. Happy to do another organised ride if that's what's popular, also happy to put our collective heads and come up with our own 'out of town' adventure i.e. Dandenongs, Kinglake, Macedon even a make-shift round the bay. See you all in the morning.

Terrible weather today! Hope it gets better tomorrow as I really would like to go for a ride tomorrow. I think Matt has a really good idea! We should all plan a ride outside of point cook and experience different areas of Victoria! I think I'd leave the course planning up to you guys though as I've hardly ever ventured outside of our neck of the woods on my bike! The hanging rock ride a few weeks back has really inspired me onto bigger and better things!

I did the ride last year, and it is a pretty easy ride for the distance, as I had previously only ever done a 65km before the Amy Gillett ride. The wind picked up a bit and made the last half into a head wind which made things a bit tougher, but other than that it was a good ride. I am currently trying to round up a few guys from work for the ride, so all things going well I should catch a few of you at the ride.

If any of you guys are keen on a ride around Geelong, I usually head out solo on Sunday mornings (weather permitting) for a 60km loop, but can be stretched out for a 80km ride down to Barwon Heads/Ocean Grove or Torquay.
I notice that a few of you head down this way occasionally for a ride, so if you are keen for a change of scenery let me know.

Looks like the Sunday spin will wait till the weather picks up. I think a number of the boy's would be interested in a change of rides - Geelong could be a goer in the next few weeks. With regard to the Amy Gillet ride, lets get some confirmed interest and then enter. Have a good week.

i'm pretty keen on Amys ride. That's my old stomping ground so i like the idea of doing the full penninsula and back to Geelong. I'll probably do it regardless of anyone else here doing it, but the more faces i know turning up the better :)

Was out Sunday mid morning going past Altona when I bumped into Cisco. We had a run out to Willie then back via Federation Trail. He was out with the group a few week ago. Said he is keen to do the Amy Gillett in January. The 120km route looks good, only a few small hills down there... I may sign up this week.

The Christmas silly season will soon be upon us and may hinder some riders so lets gets some km's in before Christmas.

Don the Gillett ride looks good I will probably enter this week just need to confirm with the boss ! I will also pass the details onto Luke.
