Bit of late notice, but we're planning (Myself and Addict (Matthew)) to do a long ride on sunday if anyone's interested. Dave, if you've got the OK from the ca'pn, let me know; it seems we're organising more on facebook now!

Sorry, but I don't think it's going to happen for me this time around. I've been sick for the last three weeks, have ridden less than 100km since the Gong ride and haven't raced at all. I'm still a bit under the weather and don't know if I'll be able to get any sort of fitness for such a long ride. I really want to, though - really, really, really.

Let me know how it goes. I'll expect lots of reportage. If things change before then, I'll let you know.

I'm actually contemplating riding down on Friday, as I need to be there for family Christmas on Saturday.
How are you guys planning to get past the roadworks on the Hume?

Which roadworks?

There's the stuff at Campbelltown adn I *think* there's some work being down a fair way further south on the rock walls.
I drove down at the end of October but can't recall what sort of should is left to ride on

My cousin just trekked down there today, and let me know theres roadwork at campbelltown, but the rest of the way is pretty clean. He didn't say exactly how far the roadworks go though.. I'm guessing after macarthur, it should be fine?

Legally you're supposed to get off at Brooks Road then rejoin the F5 at Narellan Rd. (http://www.strava.com/segments/f5-bypass-668389)
You *could* stay on the F5 and exit at Campbelltown Rd and rejoin at Narellan Rd.

Ahh, thanks for that! We just worked out on facebook that Matt (addict) can stay over my place the friday before, then we'll catch the first train to Macarthur (6am)then ride Narellan road to the Hume Hwy. Then it's all uphill till Moss Vale, and relatively flat till Canberra :D Lets hope for a sunny day..
