So a different tact.
One of the other guys from work and myself will be going for a mid morning ride on Weds. We'll be leaving the shopping village on Belmont Road, Tingalpa at 9am, heading out to Wynnum North, down to Manly, out to Cannon Hill and around to Carindale, then loop back to Tingalpa via Old Cleveland Road. Approximately 45 km's and 2 hours. I start work at Midday, so won't be able to do a longer ride.
We're both noobs, so don't ride at a cracking pace. And it's possible to do a 25 km ride as we pass Belmont Road on the way back from Manly to Cannon Hill.
So anyone who would like to join us, we're meeting outside the pub (where we both work). As an aside, we're hoping to put together a pub "team" for th Rio Tinto ride to cure cancer.

Bloody rain. Woke up at 8am looked outside and cursed the rain gods.
We're going to try again for Friday. Me personally, I hope Thursday is fine as I miss riding. It's addictive. And 40 to 50 km rides aren't doing it for me anymore.
Oh and Davo, my "weekend" consisted of 13 hour days (well Friday, Sat and Sun, 12 midday to 1am) I ended up working 6 days and 61.75 hours last week, and the taxman loved me for it. Bastid.
