So Gumby, are you saying that if you ride badly, you ride like a girl? Is that implying that all girls are bad riders?

Can't wait to get your opinions on how black, Asian Whales ride.

There're quite a few girls 'round my way that ride a whole lot better than I do.

Anyway, enough of us hijacking this thread.

It might be easier on the back if you forget the shovel and just hire a backhoe.

Erskineville but I can go anywhere within reason. I think you must be on the north side? Spent yesterday touring various bits but called it a day after we got drenched at the top of Bobbin Head climb.

Ride suggestions.
1) start in St Ives, ride on Mona Vale road to Akuna bay , West head, and down to church point.
have a short coffee down in church point before we head back up the climb and fast ride back to St Ives for a nice coffee and pastry, it’s about 80km

2) Meet North Turramurra ride to the Gorges via Pacific Hwy back up via Bobbin head, ride about 65km.

3) Bobbin head road ride to Brooklyn, and back 70km or if you want it longer continue to Mount White.

I can do any of those Apple. I was planning to ride every day and I'm off between Christmas and New Year as I'm doing my Alpine Classic training. Option 1 sounded good (mostly because there's a decent coffee at Church Point it must be said), but happy with either of the others too if others have another compelling drawcard. And I'm happy with a social ride at whatever speed is best for the bunch really.

See Trailgumby, it's better to get an invite than trying to budge in. Then again, how did I qualify for a girls ride?

Let me know what you decide re: route. Depending on how my lower back shapes up over the next few weeks, if doing the Akuna Bay option I'll meet you at the intersection of Mona Vale Road and Forest Way.

Would prefer that option as it gives me bailout choices if I need 'em, can ride to meet you instead of using the car, and the climbs should be manageable for me by then (fingers crossed) and Akuna Bay is purty 8) .

Looking forward to putting faces to names. Wasn't so much looking for an invite as taking the mickey out myself, but appreciate the most gracious offer ... to which I say: thankyou :D
