just have to wait on if and friend and i can get a ride up to town. Iif so we are going to tri and do the whole thing been sik the last cupple of week so only been commuting, doc said no rideing till my gut gets better so i will be taking it easy my friend on a Gravity MTB. He can keep up with me in the hills some time beats he up them but i catach him on the flats
Hopefully you make it there, don't worry to much if you miss it, theres plenty of other rides over the next few months. BicycleSA'S website has all the info. The grand slams are pretty good as the start and finish are at the same place, so it makes it a lot easier!
Starting at Eagle for the coast to coast wouldn't be a bad idea if you don't manage to get much riding in.
Yeah its a good decision, its pretty much all up hill from Glenelg to Crafers (about 22kms) so best to give it a miss if you've not been able to ride much. It'll be a good ride starting from Crafers. Not 100% sure if I'm riding yet, but hopefully should be.
Haha, I like the way you put that.....
I'm sitting this one out.....after the tour ride I realised how much work I have to do before attempting any more......
Training is under way, and the grand slam series sounds good
I have started to train 2 weeks in advance not traing just casual riding. its not a race im just going to cruise my old man going as well as my friend. so just a casual ride its realy a soacal ride havent riden with my friend in a while.
sounds like a plan!!!
I've had a training hault due to some health issues. Waiting on some results in relation to my kidneys so if that comes through all clear I'll be really looking forward to just getting out and riding with some fellow cyclists, by going for the challange, rather than a race.
Just ompleated it avs was 24.4 i thort that was pritty good i had to keep in mind that my friend was on a mtb as well ( he was rideing the raceline Gravity) it was a nice ride i thort it was pritty flat I started a Crafers so no big hill climb. i was talking to one of the people who run it and they said there where nealy 1500 pp there i think it was a good turn out. I dont know what other years have been like the weather nice pritty nice to us all day.
I didn't make it to the coast to coast in the end but sounds like it was a good ride, was told it was a fun fast course.
Did the first ride of the BikeSA grandslam series this morning at Gumeracha. They reduced it to 47kms because of the weather forecast but it was a good loop. Not sure how many started the ride as we set off half an hour early.
Yeah was a real good loop, one of those rides that was a shame to come to an end. I'm booked in for the whole series but can't make the next one but looking forward to the rest. Hopefully we'll get some luck with the weather in mid winter!
