Is there anywhere people recommend in or near the city to get my bike re-fit for me to ride?
After my back has been stuffed for a few months after my last ride, I'm thinking I need to get it all re-adjusted and would prefer to have a professional do it.

It depends on your religious tendencies. There are quite a lot.
If you want maximum comfort and minimal physiological problems I'd suggest Steve Hogg at Pedal Pushers (yes I've had a fit from Steve).
If you want more speed a lot of our guys are going to our coach Mark Newton. http://www.hert.com.au/main/page_bike_fit_bike_fit.html
Mark is in the City and you want have to wait months for a booking so it would be handy for you.

Wow a few $$ to get it done. Very comprehensive though and worth it if it stops a repeat of these back problems.

It costs a few bucks but they do tend to spend a lot of time with you. These guys are quite serious about bike fit and pretty sure of their results so if the back problem continues you can usually go back for another shot at it. I can assure you, you won't get the same level rocking about to the LBS and standing on a ruler.

I had one done for my roadbike and couldn't believe the difference so I went back the following week to get my mountain bike done.
