My take is everyone's situation is different and whether the K's are classified as "commute" or "Training" they still count towards overall fitness. 2/3 rds of my k's are commute and I reckon I am a lot fitter, and more road aware "weekend" roadie for it. Oh and my normal commute is 80ks round trip .cavebear2 wrote:Hmmm, my normal commute is a 10.4 km round trip.
I must say that having commute km as less than 20% of my total keeps life relatively interesting. I would hate to have to use commuting km to build a total, rather boring way to do it I'd say. Mind you, that's not to say I don't use a bike instead of a car for every possible reason.

Miscalculation there, cause it's actually less than 10% of my yearly km.cavebear2 wrote:commute km as less than 20%

I think in 2012, my commute Kms will represent 90% or more of my total.

Seeing as it's the New Year, I've removed the glue. This thread will descend down the list as the 2012 thraed takes over.
