Ok I need to start riding more (or other form of exercising) so I can lose some weight! I've been enjoying far too much eating lately!! Maybe I should make a commitment on here like I did with the riding goal so that way it's been said and I have to try and do it.

Probably around 20kms for me today. Will be doing a group ride tomorrow - which should be around 30-40kms... and then a first day of triathlon training on Sunday which will be on the bike, not sure how that will pan out just yet so don't know if it'll give me many km's.
i love my bike(s)

Tried a new coffee shop on our ride this morning - nice banana bread :) Rode 80kms with some friends who are training for the TDU - lots of hills, lots of traffic - pretty good ride!

You will love the riding. I gave up triathlons but I am interested to read about your training. :D

great photos apple - some nice views!

instead of the 30-40km group ride this morning I ended up going out by myself and completed my first 100km ride... yay me... hehe... my legs are still sore

triathlon training starts tomorrow (riding)... it's a 6 week training course with 3 training sessions a week (one for each leg)

I'll give you some updates apple. i will like the riding, I don't mind swimming, but I will struggle to really enjoy the running.
i love my bike(s)

Well I didn't ride today but I swam, I find swimming so boring and I always want to get out of the water as soon as I get in. I also get so hungry after swimming :?

I got wet too. I went to the Royal National Park in Sydney and it started to gently rain, which was a change from the 98% humidity just prior. Took it easy as it was a bit slippery but still managed 102km.

I'm so jealous - I'm stuck here at work (not using the internet of course  )! Maybe you're overdoing it? I want to ride to Bobbin Head - if you're so slow I'll be able to keep up!

Love to take you, Lets meet up for our monthly ride when I get back from TDU and I will take you to Brooklyn via Bobbin head, it would be a good hill 70km.
we can take lots of pictures of our bikes, near trees and hills, also the river and bush. Then you can post it on the 6666 club.

I'm coming over to Sydney for a few days!

Cupcakes here I come :D

Anyone got any tips on best place to hire a bike from (have found a few different shops from google, but if you know any inside information that might help me) and any short rides out of the city that I can do when I can sneak away from my hubby?

OK so I've booked a hotel... Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney. In between The Rocks and Wolloomooloo (wow that is a hard word to spell - still not sure if I've put too many oooooo's in there)... I get in Saturday night and leave Wednesday morning so am not in town for long. I wish I could convince my husband to go for a ride with me  :P

OK, I think you should ride in Centennial park, you can hire a bike there, not a road bike but it will be fine for you. It is safe, I will post strava in the park for you
