Sorry, Euskatel. Wiggins famously called them "bleeding carrots" after the 2010 TDF because they crashed so often. He then had to apologise to the team because they did not find his comment amusing.rustychisel wrote:obtuse. The Bleeding Carrots are a well known continental pro team, are they?

Military road has been packed. BMC (not too many I think 6) Euskatel, AG2R, Liqigas (I think, they were flying) Some Garmin guys, Katusha, Vacansoleil, Saxobank. Must be the place to spin off the jet lag!!! Not got much work done in the last 2 days seem to spend all day gazing out the window looking for fast bunches.

Europa cafe at glenelg is where u will see most of the teams after training rides before the tdu starts.... There's been a few pros in there over the last few weeks... The german pair Linus gerdemann (shack/trek) & Gerald ciolek (omega pharma QS) got to Adelaide early (last week) and have been training around town, and stopping in. I have breakky there some mornings and mark renshaw and the rabobank boys were there this morning. Heinrich hausler and the rest of the garmin team were there yesterday morning post ride, and Danny pate from sky in the arvo... So pop down and have a look if ur in Adelaide...

Was passed by Liquigas just near Lobethel yesterday. They seemed to be going a bit quicker than me!?

Whilst sitting downstairs at work yesterday, saw BMC head up Angas st towards the hills, followed shortly after by the Layopaard-Nissan-Trek-RadioShrek guys.

Saw the Trek team descending the old freeway yesterday around lunchtime. Team car was sitting just past the tollgate.

Here's a tip... Head down to Willunga hill Saturday morning and do the range road loop... Few of the teams will be training/reconning there for the most decisive stage finish of the tdu
