Mismatched kit?

But... they were riding what looked like Sky's Pinarellos. Two guys with plenty of money and confused allegiances, or Pros sharing bikes?

No, what I meant was, from my quick view, I was pretty sure these were real Lampre guys out here for TDU. Hence the ? over their bikes.
Of course I don't care if my kit and bike match! Shoot me down, I don't care, but thought folks might be interested.

Victoria Rd Gladesville, Sydney?
Nope TDU participants would be riding in Adelaide I would expect, not Sydney.

Rule #17 / Team kit is for members of the team.
Wearing Pro team kit is also questionable if you’re not paid to wear it. If you must fly the colors of Pro teams, all garments should match perfectly, i.e no Mapei jersey with Kelme shorts and Telekom socks.

Pro teams change sponsors all the time. Big deal.busted_stuff wrote:Saw a couple of guys heading down Victorian Road in Gladesville the other day - in full Lampre kit.

All other times it comes across as pretty pratty really.
If you can help it, you should mix your gear for training rides. Abit like getting married: something old, some thing new, something borrowed (but never returned), and something Mapei ….
*Disclaimer: We are talking about riders who pay retail for riding apparrel.
A bike and a place to ride.

Would you wear a Collingwood jersey with Hawthorne shorts and Essendon socks?
I dare say the answer to the above is no. So it is just as wrong to wear mismatched kit.
Please consult the rules, as they have been posted
