Cycle ShortsAny good suggestions for the females out there? Was looking at Sugoi or Pearl Izumi but need very small size !!
Re: Cycle ShortsI have some xs BBB's that fit well. They have worn nicely with regular riding.

Re: Cycle ShortsI think you mostly get what you pay for in knicks. I have size 8 friends with the top PI and Sugoi (both RS and RSE) who are happy. Assos sizing is very small. I've been mostly Assos but that's coming to an end as they wear.
Re: Cycle ShortsThanks.
Anyone know the smallest size Sugoi does and where I can get them from?
Cycle ShortsMy wife has Assos and Sugoi and says the Sugoi are better designed. She got them from Epic Cycles in Baroona Road.

Re: Cycle ShortsAnyone know where I can get Sugoi online? I tried xs on the other day but felt they were a bit too big!
Re: Cycle Shorts
Re: Cycle ShortsHopefully can pick some up at the TDU next week
Re: Cycle ShortsAnother vote for Sugoi from me, not that I find their sizes to be too small, they are fairly true to regular clothing sizes.
Santini run a bit smaller so and XS in their knicks might fit you better; be prepared for the shorter leg length with Santini though PI's are ok, but I wouldn't buy them again Lisa
Re: Cycle ShortsSugoi gets my vote as well although I can say about small sizing as I have never been tiny always had a set of sprinters legs lol
It only hurts if you let it....
You kids get off my lawn...I can say that now I am old...
Re: Cycle ShortsI'm a bloke - so maybe irrelevant - but a BIG bloke - so which brands have large/small sizing is important to me
If you dont mind spending the money, Pearl Izumi is pretty much the best IMHO, but their sizing is not the smallest, so might pay to try on - but quality will never be a problem, especially with elite/pro series. Santini make a very good quality bib short and the sizing is about 1 smaller than PI, so suit a smaller person - also they make bib-shorts with a gel pad in the posterior which is arguably more comfortable than the run of the mill chamois. Cannibal is another brand with smaller sizing, and often make gear for bike shops and local teams etc but not quite up there with the other 2 mentioned. ![]() 2012 Fuji SST1.0 stealth (full Ultegra) 2010 Merida TFS400D Hybrid
Re: Cycle ShortsCan't help with any inquiry and a bit off topic but....I wore bike shorts for the first time on my ride this morning...NOW I know why cyclists wear them..no sore bum. I usually ride in chopped off shorts. Think I might now look about for some more..I'm sold on them.
Re: Cycle Shorts
I also have sprinters legs. Lets have a race on the flats A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man.
Speak your mind,Those that mind dont matter, Those that matter dont mind!!
Re: Cycle ShortsI recently bought a pair of Skins cycle bib - wasn't sure whether I was a M or a S but decided the S was not too small. They are tight as they are compression ones. But they also do an XS and have a size chart on their website. I actually really like the chamois in these ones too which I wasn't expecting to.
Re: Cycle ShortsThanks all. Have a great 2xu pair but want a pair with some more padding !
Re: Cycle ShortsTry some Louis Garneau womens Neo Power shorts (teamestrogen.com) $$$$ but soooo nice (about to buy a second pair)...
And they fit small -
Re: Cycle ShortsThey don't look like they do really small sizes though?
Bought some skins ones in Adelaide in January at TDU and love them-thanks whoever suggested them !
Re: Cycle ShortsCan anyone advise whether 2XU or Skins cycle shorts are proper cycle shorts or is it just a marketing gimmick? They look like a really good option though, just wondering if they have they same amount of padding and moveability etc. Thanks
Re: Cycle Shorts
I have a pair of Skins compression bib nicks that are proper cycle shorts with a decent pad in them. I've worn them on lots of longer rides and they do the job.
Re: Cycle ShortsTotally agree-bought a pair of skins and love them-done long days in them and been fine. 2XU ones don't have as much padding but maybe I bought a cheaper pair ??
