Cyclists are required to abide by the law Australia

Postby AUbicycles » Thu Jan 12, 2012 10:43 pm

In this forum helmet discussions are popular and even intense with members who strongly advocate wearing as well as not wearing helmets.
Intelligent discussion on the legalities of wearing a helmet are welcome, both for and against.

It is important to note that as a cyclist in Australia you are legally required to wear an helmet (approved by the Australian and New Zealand standards) and abide by the road rules.

Bicycles Network Australia encourages cyclists to abide by the law. While forum members my express their opinions and views on laws, the opinions or views presented by participating members are not endorsed or encouraged by Bicycles Network Australia, the contributing writers or moderators of this website.
