Good morning,
To ensure the safety of cyclists during construction of the Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor Stage 2 Richlands to Springfield Project, cycle access will be temporarily closed along the Centenary Highway between Garden Road, Richlands and Springfield Parkway, Springfield Lakes.
Â
This temporary closure will take effect from Monday 23 January 2012 and will stay in place until late 2012.
Â
An alternative route has been identified via Clendon Street, Waterford Road, Boundary Road, Addison Road, Old Logan Road, Nev Smith Drive, Springfield Link Bridge, Ellen Circuit, James Josey Avenue, Lakeside Avenue to Springfield Lakes Boulevard. See map attached.
Â
At project completion, cyclists will have access to more than 7 km of new pathways connecting Springfield to the Brisbane cycle network. This will include a 4.2 km dedicated cycle path and 2.9 km of shared pedestrian and cycle paths.
Â
If you have any queries regarding the Centenary Highway temporary cycle closure please contact the project’s Community Relations Team on 1800 067 684 or alternatively you can email info@trackstar.com.au.
Â
Could you please pass the above information, and attached map on to the various cycle groups that you represent.
