Jealous
Postby tuco » Mon Jan 22, 2007 8:10 am
You people will be jealous.
I don't know how much rain you people in Vic and SA had recently but we just had 80mm in the last 22 hours from 9am yesterday and 30mm the 24 hours before that.
That's more like the weather we should be having during the wet season.

That's as much as we have had in the six months from July to December 2006. For the year 22nd January 2006 to today, we have had a whisker under 300mm. Pehaps that should be bl**dy annoyed, rahter than just annoyed!

I'm a little annoyed, I've missed at least 60km of riding over the weekend but it is the wet season and the monsoon trough is just north of us so it's to be expected.
Sad thing is seeing all that water running down the gutter and out to sea.
I was recently in northern Victoria and was so dry they, like you, had about 130mm over the last 8 months. I used to live there and I'd never see it that dry.

Another 27mm. That makes about 167mm since Saturday 9am. That's half our monthly average.
Still a few bands of rain on the radar but nothing compared to the last few days. A big storm just missed us but it did go over the dam.
Maybe now we can get into some serious riding.
