Here are some of the rides i did on the flat bar whilst staying at Shoal Bay, slow cruisy speeds and all safe rides.Tim.
theses are not all the rides i did whilst up there, but a good selection.Tim
Tim, such long distances. You must be a very disciplined man. The most I can do in Port Stephens would be 60km because it is soooooooooooo boring.
Hats off to you

Speak your mind,Those that mind dont matter, Those that matter dont mind!!
Thanks Apple, knocked out 600 for the 9 days we were up there, pretty happy with that, had to overlap the routes a bit as well, but enjoyed it, Tim
Looks like you picked every possible safe route in the area. Same as you, I did not dare to venture further west on Nelson Bay Rd due to its lack of shoulder and speeding vehicles. It was a very nice area to ride with an interesting variety of terrain. Good enough for holiday riding but the restriction to the west will soon get boring.
If one has a MTB, there's the possibility of riding the coastal sand dunes to safely go west of the peninsula. It'd be a long detour.
Next year i will have a 29er with me so that may be a possibility , well dirt tracks etc not so sure about sand dunes
